COMMUNICATING WITH PURPOSE

Good communicators convince others to act; the great ones convince themselves. Such is Priscilla, who more than once has stepped off the well-lit career path to bring her light to people and places she felt she could help: Native American high school kids in a Yup'ik village in St. Mary's, Alaska; struggling families in a shelter in Great Falls, Montana; "unrecoverable minors" warehoused in a state orphanage in Negru Voda, Romania.

There have been many other causes and people closer to home.

Her career choices have reflected and supported her personal mission and global outlook. She was press secretary to the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, where she helped promote policies to ensure the dignity and safety of older Americans. She was an account executive at a high-tech PR firm, because nothing changes the world faster than tech. And for many years she was VP of public relations, communications, and corporate culture for one of the nation’s largest international tour operators, allowing her to get to know people and cultures the world over.

In addition to her traditional PR skills, which are formidable, one of Priscilla's special strengths is internal corporate communications, helping organizations build engaged and aligned workforces. Her effectiveness, needless to say, comes from her lifelong instinct to lead by example.

Priscilla lives in Brookline, MA, with her two teen daughters.
